Liverpool are all set to finalise the signing of 24-year-old Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister for €70 million tomorrow.

According to Germán García Grova, Liverpool are very close to completing the signing of Alexis Mac Allister. The 24-year-old has been on the radar of the Merseyside club for a while now. The deal is in the final stages and it should be completed by tomorrow.

Mac Allister took the world by storm during the FIFA World Cup 2022. He was amongst the best players for the Argentine team that went on to create history and win the global event.

The 24-year-old has been in similar form throughout the 2022-23 season for the Seagulls. He has been involved in 40 matches and has 15 goal contributions to his name. His performances have attracted a lot of attention and it seems Liverpool are all set to win the war to acquire his services.

While his contract at Brighton runs until the summer of 2025, it was pretty much certain that he would leave the club in the upcoming window given the amount of interest in him. The Seagulls were expected to let him leave if the right bid arrived and it seems Liverpool have won the race with an offer of €70 million.

The Merseyside club have struggled in the 2022-23 season because of an inconsistent midfield. And, they needed a major overhaul in the centre of the park to revive themselves. Liverpool are looking to push for multiple midfielders in the upcoming window.

They will look to sign both defensive-minded and attacking-minded midfielders. Mac Allister is a versatile player who can feature in either of the roles. As a result, securing his signatures will do wonders for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Both clubs have agreed on a fee of around €70 million and the player’s contract is expected to run until the summer of 2028. All the details are in place for the official announcement but before that Mac Allister’s agent, his father will arrive in England tomorrow to go over the last details before the contracts are signed.
