According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have opened talks with Borussia Monchengladbach for Manu Kone. And they have been informed of the asking price for the 22-year-old Frenchman, worth around €40 million.
Kone has been a key player for the German club this past season, and he could prove to be a solid long-term investment for Liverpool. The midfielder is reportedly valued between €35 million and €40 million, which could prove to be a bargain in today’s market. Liverpool have also spoken to the midfielder’s represntatives.
The imposing midfielder will add defensive cover, creativity and flair in the middle of the park. He could be the ideal long-term replacement for Fabinho.
