Newcastle United are preparing a lucrative contract offer to lure 28-year-old Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot to the club.

According to Tuttosport via SportWitness, Newcastle United could lure Adrien Rabiot to the club with a lucrative contract offer. The 28-year-old Juventus midfielder’s future at the club is uncertain and he could be on the move in the summer.

Rabiot joined Juventus as a free agent back in the summer of 2019. The 28-year-old’s career was on the decline and initially, he struggled to get the desired minutes at the Turin-based club. However, he has managed to turn things around over the past few seasons.

The former PSG midfielder was a standout performer for France at the FIFA World Cup 2022. And, he has put in similar sort of performances for Juventus throughout the season.

The 28-year-old has been involved in 46 matches and has 17 goal contributions. The French international has scored 11 goals and has six assists to his name. It won’t be wrong to say that he is the form of his life and could be a great asset for any club that he joins.

Rabiot’s contract at Juventus ends in the summer. And, at this point in time, there are no talks of a potential renewal. While there is still a possibility of him signing an extension with the Old Lady, it looks unlikely given that they don’t have Champions League football to offer.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of clubs interested in having the French international in their ranks. And, Newcastle United is one of them.

The Magpies have secured Champions League football and have now shifted their focus towards the transfer market to strengthen their squad in order to be competitive enough in both the Premier League and the UCL.

Their manager Eddie Howe is keen on bolstering his midfield and would love to have Rabiot at his disposal. Given the form that the Frenchman is in, he will surely help them take the next step.

Magpies have Champions League football as well as the financial power to convince Rabiot to join them. And, reports suggest that the English club are ready to break the bank and offer the 28-year-old a lucrative contract that he might not be able to reject.
