Tottenham have reportedly submitted a €25 million bid for Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson as they seek the 24-year-old defender.

According to Turkish outlet T24, Tottenham have taken the next step to cement their interest in Victor Nelsson. The north London side have reportedly submitted a €25 million offer for the 24-year-old, with the door open to leave Galatasaray.

Tottenham are searching for a new centre-back along with a new manager and several other players in different positions. The backline has caused Spurs many problems during the season, with the team needing help beyond their starting options.

Antonio Conte wanted to bring in a central defender in January, but the club used up all their time chasing right-back, Pedro Porro. With the Italian gone, his ideas of shoring up the defence remain intact, with Spurs likely to act and bring in a resourceful player.

They have seen their name linked with many players in the media. Wolves star Max Kilman remains high on their shortlist, but coming from an English side, he will cost a lot of money for Spurs. They were also linked with Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, who could cost well over €50 million.

They have also explored the availability of Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba. Arsenal could rival Tottenham for the Bundesliga defender, putting Spurs in a difficult position when competing with their north London rivals.

In the last few days, there were mentions of interest in Galatasaray star Victor Nelsson. The 24-year-old defender has had an exceptional season, but the Turkish club could lose him for a decent offer. With that, they could accept bids of around €25 million, something Tottenham could afford.

The latest report from Turkey insists Tottenham have made an offer worth €25 million for the 24-year-old defender. Galatasaray could now look into the room for further negotiations, but they might accept the proposal if it was true.

Nelsson is steadily becoming a recognised name around Europe for his displays this season. He could come to the Premier League and then learn his trade to become a consistent player. At Galatasaray, he’s not alone in possibly leaving in the close season, with teammate and Arsenal target Sacha Boey also likely to depart.

Whether Nelsson will help Spurs revive and make them challengers next season remains the question. He might become a good investment from Tottenham’s perspective, who are desperate to bring some changes to their backline.
