Aston Villa are ready to offer huge wages to Real Madrid star forward Marco Asensio as they look to land him in a Bosman move.

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa are keen on having Marco Asensio in their ranks ahead of next season. The 27-year-old winger’s future at Real Madrid is uncertain, and he could be on the move in the upcoming transfer window as a free agent. Meanwhile, there are numerous clubs keen on having him at their disposal.

Asensio came through the ranks at RCD Mallorca before joining Real Madrid back in the summer of 2015. He was sent out on loan immediately after joining Los Blancos. The 27-year-old started featuring in their first team in the following season and went from strength to strength.

The Spanish international managed to impress one and all with his performances and became a regular feature in their first team. However, his game time take a major hit following numerous injuries. In the ongoing season, Asensio has 20 goal contributions in his 50 appearances where he has been on the pitch for under 2,000 minutes.

While the Spain international was keen on continuing at Real Madrid, their contract extension offer didn’t please him and he has rejected it. With his £165,000-a-week contract set to expire in the upcoming month, the 27-year-old is free to join any club he desires.
