Aston Villa and West Ham United are all set to battle it out for the services of 25-year-old Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes.

According to Daily Mail, Aston Villa and West Ham United are keen on having Harvey Barnes in their ranks. The 25-year-old Leicester City forward’s future is uncertain as there are quite a few clubs keen on having him in their ranks.

Barnes has been a part of the Foxes’ setup since his childhood days. He has come up the ranks at the club and has become an integral part of their first team in the past few seasons. The England international has been a regular in their first team since 2019.

He has featured in a total of 186 matches and has 76 goal contributions to his name. He has found the back of the net on 44 occasions and also has 32 assists. While Barnes’s contract at the club runs until the summer of 2025, he could be on his way out in the upcoming transfer window. And, there are quite a few clubs keen on acquiring his services.

The Foxes are currently 18th in the Premier League with a game to go. Even a win cannot guarantee them safety, and a few results will have to go their way for them to survive in the English top flight.

If they end up getting relegated, the England international will push for a move away from the club. Even if they manage to survive, Barnes could part ways with the club given the amount of interest in his services.

A bid of around £50 million might be enough to prise the 25-year-old away from Leicester. And, if they get relegated to the EFL Championship the price could go down drastically.

Meanwhile, West Ham United and Aston Villa are ready to battle it out for his services. Unai Emery is keen on bolstering his attack ahead of next season. And, he has his eyes set on the England international. Emery wants to push for a top-six finish next season and wants more firepower in his attack to achieve that objective.

The Hammers are all set to sell their skipper Declan Rice for a fee of close to £100 million and they will enter the market in search of multiple players. West Ham are keen on bringing in new forwards as they look to revive themselves next season. And, they believe Barnes could help their cause.

With Aston Villa and West Ham set to battle it out for his services, it will be interesting to see who ends up winning the race for his signatures.
