Barcelona are preparing a player-plus-cash offer for the signature of Martin Zubimendi amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to AS, Barcelona are keen on having Martin Zubimendi in their ranks. The 24-year-old midfielder has been a consistent performer for Real Sociedad over the past few seasons. His performances have attracted the attention of quite a few clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United, across Europe.

Sergio Busquets is all set to part ways with the Catalan giants in the summer. His 18-year-long stay at the club is about to end. And, Barcelona have started to look at potential replacements. Busquets has been one of their most important players in the centre of the park over the years. And, finding a replacement won’t be easy.

Meanwhile, Xavi has his eyes on Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. The Spanish manager believes he could fill those massive boots of Busquets. Zubimendi has been a part of Real Sociedad since his childhood days. He has come through the ranks and established himself as one of their most important players.

The 24-year-old has been involved in 40 matches so far this season. He has been the mainstay of the Spanish club, and his performances have attracted a lot of attention. While his contract at the club runs until the summer of 2027, a €60 million release clause could lead to an early exit.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are keen on having him in their ranks. Zubimendi is their manager’s first priority to replace Busquets in the centre of the park. However, since their financial situation is not that great, the club are considering offering players in exchange to lower the 24-year-old’s price.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the Real Sociedad midfielder, according to Mundo Deportivo via Sport Witness. Erik ten Hag was impressed by the Spanish international’s performance when his team squared up against La Real in the UEFA Europa League group stage.

The Manchester United manager believes he could form a great partnership with Casemiro in the centre of the park. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta also wants to incorporate a new world-class midfielder into his team. While Arsenal did sign Jorginho in the winter, they still want to add a bit more firepower and Arteta believes Zubimendi’s arrival could help them compete for the Champions League and Premier League title.

Barcelona, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all ready to double his wages. But, it will all depend on the 24-year-old, who loves his current club and wants to feature in the Champions League with them. While the interested clubs are willing to go all out and perhaps pay €60 million, neither Real Sociedad nor Zubimendi are in any sort of hurry.
