Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign a quality goalkeeper at the end of the season and have identified Gavin Bazunu as a target.

Gavin Bazunu has done quite well for Southampton since joining them, and he could be available at the end of the season. Southampton have been relegated from the Premier League, and the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper will want to stay in the top flight. The report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham are confident of signing him for a fee of around £15 million.

It remains to be seen whether the north London giants can agree on a fee with Southampton in the coming weeks now. It is no secret that Tottenham must look to sign a quality goalkeeper this summer. Club legend Hugo Lloris has regressed significantly and his performances have been a major concern for Tottenham this season.

The 36-year-old Frenchman is also nearing the end of his contract at the club. He will be a free agent in 2024 and Spurs need to start planning for a future without him. Tottenham must look to bring in a first-choice shot-stopper this summer.

Bazunu has proven his quality in the Premier League with Southampton despite their relegation. andSo he could prove to be a solid, long-term investment for Tottenham. If they manage to sign in for a fee of around £15 million, this summer, the move could prove to be a bargain in the long run.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to continue his development with regular Premier League football, and Tottenham can certainly provide him with that opportunity. It has been a disappointing season for Tottenham so far, and they are set to miss out on Champions League qualification.

They must look to bring in a quality manager at the end of the season and then plug the weaknesses in their squad in order to bounce back strongly next year. Signing a quality goalkeeper should be on top of their priority list along with a couple of defensive reinforcements.

As for Bazunu, a move to Tottenham would be a major step up in his career and playing alongside top-quality players at the London club could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential.
