Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of 24-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

According to a report by Irish Independent, Tottenham are interested in having Caoimhin Kelleher in their ranks. Tottenham are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping position ahead of next season, and they believe the Merseyside shot-stopper could help their cause.

Kelleher has been a part of Liverpool for a while now. He has come through the ranks at the club and was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2019. But, he has hardly played for them. The 24-year-old wants to have regular first-team action and might look for a move elsewhere. He has only featured thrice for their first team in the ongoing season.

And, Kelleher is well aware of the fact that Alisson Becker is ahead of him in the pecking order. The Brazil international is likely to be the preferred choice under Jurgen Klopp for quite a few years going ahead. As a result, the 24-year-old might not get the desired game time at the Merseyside club.

The Ireland international is considering a move away from the club as it will allow him to make a case for the number one position in the national team. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having the Liverpool shot-stopper in their ranks.

While they are still on the look for a new manager, the club have already started planning for the upcoming transfer window. And, their major focus is to improve their goalkeeping position.

Hugo Lloris is well past his prime. The former French international has been a great servant of the club for over a decade now. But, it seems he is no longer as reliable as he was back in the day. And, they are even considering offloading him in the upcoming window.

The 36-year-old has made quite a few errors in the ongoing season. And, Spurs want to sort out the situation by signing a new shot-stopper. Kelleher is on their radar, and they believe the 24-year-old has what it takes to be their new number one.

While his contract at Liverpool runs until the summer of 2026, the Merseyside club could still let him leave but only if their asking price of €23 million is met. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure the Liverpool cup hero’s services.
