Real Madrid are interested in acquiring the services of 25-year-old Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui.

According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid are interested in signing Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich. Los Blancos want to reinforce their defence ahead of next season. And, they have identified the Moroccan international as an important transfer target.

Mazraoui came through the ranks at Ajax and became an integral part of their first team. He was one of their most consistent performers. But after over 130 appearances for the Dutch club, the 25-year-old decided to join Bayern Munich.

He ran out his contract at Ajax and joined the Bundesliga giants on a free transfer. The Moroccan international arrived in Germany hoping to have regular game time. However, things have not gone according to plan.

Mazraoui has not had the desired number of minutes on the pitch. While he might have played a few more games of late, the 25-year-old is well aware of the fact that it is because of the existing injuries. And, his game time might not improve in the near future when those players return.

Mazraoui said in a recent interview, “If you look at the whole second half of the season, I’m playing in the team due to injuries. I tell everyone at the club, including the coaches: when they need me, I’m ready.”

The former Ajax full-back has featured in 23 matches and has four assists to his name. The 25-year-old has been on the pitch for just over 1,300 minutes. Meanwhile, Mazraoui is considering a move away from the Bundesliga club. And, as per reports, Bayern Munich will be willing to sell if they receive the right price.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are keen on bolstering their defence ahead of next season. They have already acquired Fran Garcia for the left-back slot. And, now they are looking to reinforce the right side. Real Madrid are keen on having someone who can challenge Dani Carvajal for a spot in the starting XI and can eventually take over from the 31-year-old full-back.

Los Blancos have scouted him in the past and are willing to bet on the 25-year-old. They believe it is time to sign a potential successor of Carvajal and smoothen the transition. However, it will be interesting to see if they can prise him away from Bayern Munich.
