Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of 21-year-old Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood on loan.
According to Calciomercatoweb, Juventus are looking to sign Mason Greenwood ahead of next season. The Serie A giants are interested in having the beleaguered Manchester United star in their ranks. And, they are willing to offer him an escape route as the England international looks to revive his career.
Greenwood came through the ranks at Manchester United and managed to establish himself as an important first-team player in no time. The 21-year-old featured in 129 matches for the Red Devils and had over 45 goal contributions.
The England international was destined for greatness. He was considered to be one of the best young players around. However, things took a sharp turn in early 2022. The Manchester United forward was involved in an alleged sexual assault and was forced out of football.
He has not featured in a single match for Manchester United since early 2022. And despite being cleared of the charges, the 21-year-old has not been included in the squad by Erik ten Hag. The Dutch manager will take a decision on the future of Greenwood after the end of the ongoing season. Meanwhile, the player has been training on his own.
While Manchester United have decided to not terminate his contract, they are unlikely to keep him at the club. The Red Devils fear that they might not get the right price for him at this point in time and want to loan him out instead. And, Juventus are one of the biggest clubs interested in having the 21-year-old forward in their ranks.
The Old Lady are looking to reinforce their attack ahead of next season. Quite a few of their players’ futures are uncertain and they are looking to be a step ahead. Federico Chiesa and Angel Di Maria could both leave Turin in the summer.

While Juventus will try their best to keep the duo at the club, they have already started planning for life without them. And, irrespective of what happens to Chiesa and Di Maria, they will still be pushing for Greenwood. The Old Lady are willing to bring the 21-year-old to the club on a long-term loan deal. They believe he can be back at his best in no time despite not being on the pitch for over a year.
