Guler joined Fenerbahce’s youth academy back in the winter of 2019. He was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2021. The teenager has since gone from strength to strength.

While he might not have been a regular in their first team. The 18-year-old has done enough to attract the attention of big clubs from across Europe.

Guler has been involved in 29 matches this season but has been on the pitch for just over 1,000 minutes. Despite that, he has scored six goals and has four assists to his name.

While his contract at the club runs until the summer of 2025, the 18-year-old could be on the move in the upcoming window given the amount of interest in his services.

Guler is on the radar of Barcelona. The Catalan giants are looking to strengthen their midfield in the summer. And, they believe adding the teenager could help their cause. He will be a cost-effective option for them as they are in a financial crisis.

However, the Catalan giants are not leading the race for his signatures. The Magpies are keen on having Guler in their ranks and they have already made moves.

Their representatives have met the family of the player as they look to convince him to join them ahead of next season. Newcastle have had a great season so far and they are all set to feature in the Champions League next season.

Eddie Howe is looking to further bolster his squad and the 18-year-old is on his radar. He could be a great acquisition for both the present as well as the future.

Guler could be available for just £4.4 million in the summer. There is a clause in his contract where he can leave the club for under £5 million if he plays less than 1500 minutes in the ongoing season. As of now, he has only played 1,038 minutes.

With just five games remaining in the 2022-23 season, he is unlikely to reach go beyond 1,500 minutes. As a result, it won’t be that big a task for Newcastle to land him. However, they will have to convince the player and they have already taken the initiative by sending representatives to Dubai.
