Liverpool are keen on having 21-year-old Sporting CP centre-back Goncalo Inacio in their ranks ahead of next season.

According to Le Parisien via Get Football News France, Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of Goncalo Inacio. The 21-year-old centre-back is amongst the best defenders in the Portuguese league and a lot of top European clubs are keen on having him in their ranks.

Inacio joined Sporting CP back in the summer of 2012. He has come through the ranks at the club and established himself as a regular in their first team. The 21-year-old has been doing wonders in the heart of defence for the Portuguese outfit for almost three years now.

His consistent performances for Sporting have resulted in a lot of attention. And, the Portuguese club have already given him a new contract with increased wages as they look to extend his stay at the club. However, the player is likely to part ways with the club in the summer.

Sporting are well aware of the situation and have put a price tag of €45 million on their star defender. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are one of the clubs keen on having him in their ranks. The French club are looking to revamp their squad in the upcoming transfer window.

Their sporting advisor Luis Campos is keen on having Inacio in his ranks. However, reports suggest that they are behind Liverpool in the pecking order. The Merseyside club have already initiated talks with the Portuguese club for the 21-year-old defender.

Liverpool are going to have a very busy summer transfer window as they look to revive themselves. Jurgen Klopp’s men have struggled in the ongoing season and they are eager to reinforce their squad ahead of next season.

Their priority is to sign multiple midfielders but they are also looking for a left-sided centre-back to pair up with Virgil van Dijk. Joe Gomez has not been at his best in the ongoing season and Klopp wants to have a quality back-up option in his ranks. With Liverpool having already launched talks for the Portugal international, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land the 21-year-old in the summer.
