Unai Emery has worked with the Senegalese international during his time at the Spanish club, and he is keen on a reunion this summer. Aston Villa have been overly reliant on Ollie Watkins in the attack, and the West Midlands club must look to bring in a quality alternative.
Jackson could share the goalscoring burden with Watkins next season. Aston Villa are currently pushing for european qualification, and they will need a deeper squad if they manage to secure European football by the end of the campaign.
