Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of the 22-year-old Red Bull Salzburg forward Noah Okafor.

According to Salzburger Nachrichten via SportWitness, Tottenham Hotspur could push for the signatures of Noah Okafor in the upcoming transfer window. The 22-year-old forward is on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe. However, recent reports suggest that a move to Spurs is the most likely outcome.

Okafor came through the ranks at FC Basel before making a move to Red Bull Salzburg. He joined the Austrian club back in the winter of 2020. He has done a great job for them scoring 34 goals and providing 23 assists in his 110 outings.

As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the 22-year-old has 10 goals and six assists in his 32 outings. His red-hot form in front of goals has resulted in a lot of attention. However, the recent injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the season has made things a touch complicated.

Okafor’s contract at Salzburg ends in the summer of 2024. And, he has no intentions of renewing it. The Swiss international recently changed agents which suggests that he could be looking for a move away from the club in the summer.

And, according to reports, Salzburg is looking to make around €20-25 million from the sale of their forward. They do not want to risk losing out on him for free in the following summer. While both the club and the player are ready to move on, the recent injury might make things difficult for the 22-year-old.

Spurs are interested in acquiring the services of the forward. They have been keeping a close eye on the former FC Basel forward for a while now. The London club are currently on the look for a new manager. But, despite that, they have already started planning for the upcoming transfer window.

And, their primary focus is to sign a new forward for the present as well as the future. Harry Kane’s future at the club is uncertain. Manchester United are looking to go all out for their star forward. As a result, Spurs have already started looking for a replacement.

And, they believe the 22-year-old could be a great addition to their ranks. However, with Okafor likely to regain full fitness by June or July, it will be interesting to see if Spurs are willing to risk investing over €20 million on the Red Bull Salzburg forward.
