Liverpool are ready to step up their interest in Bruno Guimaraes and could offer a reported €100 million package deal.

Liverpool are ready to take the next steps to confirm their interest in Bruno Guimaraes ahead of the summer window. According to Fichajes, the Merseysiders are open to offering a €100 million package to sign the 25-year-old Newcastle star. But any move will prove complicated.

Bruno Guimaraes has made a name for himself since arriving in the Premier League in January 2022. The 25-year-old Newcastle star has become one of the best central midfielders in his position under the tutelage of Eddie Howe and remains one of their most valued personnel.

While Newcastle United remain keen to offer him a new contract, they will also have to ward off interest from rivals clubs. Real Madrid have been interested for some time. But the immediate threat might come from Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp remains keen to land the 25-year-old in the summer, but the path is difficult.

Klopp wants to revamp his midfield option and intends to bring several new faces in the summer. The likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho could risk losing their places. But such has been the decline in their performances this term.

While they are chasing several names, including Frenkie de Jong and Matheus Nunes, Liverpool holds an interest in Guimaraes. The report insists the Reds are ready to step up and offer a package of more than €100 million to tempt Newcastle United into a sale.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy cannot see the move happening. And there are reasons for it. The Reds may not make it to the Champions League, as it may come at Newcastle’s expense. Howe’s side are in such a rich vein of form; they might not lose another game before the season ends.

Hence, it would make no sense for the 25-year-old Newcastle star to swap the Magpies for Liverpool in the current scenario. He has been integral to their performances, and the Brazilian was vocal several times about how much he loves the club.

In any case, Newcastle will consider the €100 million as a low figure for the 25-year-old. Liverpool are unlikely to raise that offer, and if they did, they might as well revive the chase for Jude Bellingham. Hence, it is difficult to see Guimaraes sign for the Reds in the next window, but one cannot rule out a future move to Merseyside.

A future move to Liverpool ….. why would he? Newcastle are a team on an upwards curve while Liverpool have hit a plateau.

Who would leave a team where the crowd idolise them.

What an absolute joke. There’s more chance of #NUFC coming after Salah than you even getting a sniff at Bruno.
