Tottenham Hotspur’s priority heading into the upcoming summer transfer window is to sign 25-year-old Lovro Majer.

According to a report by Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Lovro Majer in the summer. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is considered a generational talent, and Spurs are keen on having him in their ranks ahead of next season.

Majer joined Rennes in the summer of 2021 from Dinamo Zagreb. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the French club. The 25-year-old has featured in 72 matches during his time with the club and has been involved in 21 goals.

As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the Croatian international has been involved in 36 matches and has six goal contributions. He has found the back of the net twice and has created four goals for his teammates. While his numbers are not that great, the 25-year-old has had a great impact on the pitch.

He has been one of their best players over the last year. And, his performances have attracted the attention of multiple clubs from across Europe. Spurs are one of the clubs keen on having Majer in their ranks. Tottenham’s priority is to sign an attacking midfielder ahead of next season. While the club is still searching for a new manager, they have already started planning for the upcoming transfer window.

They want to incorporate an attacking midfielder who can create goalscoring chances for their star-studded attack. The London club have been looking to sign a creative midfielder for a while. And, they believe Majer could help their cause.

The 25-year-old loves to have the ball at his feet, link-up with the forwards and feed the ball out wide to the wingers. His style of play suits Tottenham, and he could easily slot into their system. Majer could do wonders for the London club.

While his contract at Rennes runs until the summer of 2027, the 25-year-old is likely to be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in his services. However, Spurs are not the only ones keen on having him in their ranks. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to strike a deal with the French club for his services.
