Arsenal are interested in acquiring the services of the 20-year-old Ajax full-back Devyne Rensch ahead of next season.

According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal are keen on having Devyne Rensch in their ranks ahead of next season. The 20-year-old has been doing wonders in the ongoing season, and his performances have not gone unnoticed. A lot of clubs from across Europe have shown interest in the Ajax defender.

Rensch joined the Ajax youth academy back in the summer of 2016. He has come up the ranks at the club and has become an integral part of their first team setup. The youngster was promoted to their first team in 2020. But in reality, the ongoing season has been the breakthrough campaign for the 20-year-old full-back.

The Dutch international has been involved in 87 matches for Ajax and has 12 goal contributions. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the Ajax full-back has been involved in 31 matches and has contributed with three goals and an assist.

While the Dutch club have not been at their best in the ongoing campaign, the 20-year-old has surely put in some impressive performances. And, that has resulted in a lot of interest from clubs in England.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on having the Ajax full-back in their ranks. The Gunners have done a great job in the ongoing season and are currently top of the Premier League. So they will return to UEFA Champions League next season.

While Arsenal have done a great job, Mikel Arteta has identified a few key areas that need strengthening. The Spanish manager is keen on adding a new right-sided full-back to his ranks. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have done their bit as right-backs. But, Arteta feels the need for a more attacking full-back.

Someone who is young, pacey and can help them be more attacking from the right flank. Rensch perfectly fits the bill, and he can form a deadly pair with Bukayo Saka on the right side. While Arsenal are keen on the Dutch international, they will face competition from elsewhere. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to land the 20-year-old at the club.
