Nicolo Barella has been linked with a summer move away from Inter Milan, with Barcelona, Manchester United, and Real Madrid keen.

Nicolo Barella has established himself as a reliable performer for club and country. And his performances have attracted the attention of clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United as per Calciomercatoweb.

The Inter Milan star could cost around €60 million, and the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United certainly have the financial resources to pay that kind of money for him. Barella is yet to enter his peak, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience.

Real Madrid could certainly use a central midfielder like him, especially with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in their twilight years. The Spanish giants must look to start planning for the future and bringing in a technically gifted central midfield this summer would be a wise decision.

Inter Milan are reportedly going through financial duress, and they could look to cash in on the star midfielder if there is a lucrative offer on the table. And Carlo Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to sign the Italian international.

As for Manchester United, Erik ten Hag will have to bring in an upgrade on players like Fred and Scott McTominay. Manchester United cannot expect to challenge for the league title and the Champions League with their current set of midfielders.

Casemiro is the only reliable performer at the top level and the Red Devils must look to bring in a quality partner for him. Barella will add control, composure and creativity in the middle of the park. As far as Barcelona are concerned, the Catalan giants are going through financial difficulties.

So they might not be able to afford Barella for the reported €60 million asking price. Meanwhile, players like Franck Kessie have been linked with a move away from Barcelona. So the Blaugrana will need to bring in adequate replacements in the summer.

There is no doubt that Barella would be an ideal fit for Barcelona, especially with the way they like to play. The Italian international has the technical ability to adapt to Xavi Hernandez’s philosophy and establish himself as a key player for the club. However, it is fair to assume that Barcelona might not be able to afford him without a big sale this summer.
