Manchester United are keen on signing Dominik Livakovic in the summer as Erik ten Hag looks to revamp the goalkeeping position.

According to Sportske, Dominik Livakovic has emerged as a target for Manchester United in the summer. The 28-year-old World Cup star could become the first Croat to play for the Old Trafford club. He could become available to the Red Devils or any other suitor for around €10 million in the next window.

Dominik Livakovic was one of the stars of the World Cup with Croatia. Before the tournament, he received plenty of criticism but proved his worth with some accomplished performances. His presence between the sticks helped his nation to the semi-final in Qatar, and now his club career could flourish.

There were a few teams keeping tabs in the aftermath of the World Cup, with Chelsea among those keen. As the Blues are looking to sell Edouard Mendy or Kepa Arrizabalaga in the summer, Livakovic could become a big target, particularly considering his price tag.

The 28-year-old’s deal with Dinamo Zagreb ends in 2024, meaning he can become available for €10 million in the summer. Many clubs could come into the picture at that price, especially those who want to focus their finances on other areas of the squad.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on Livakovic ahead of the summer window. Erik ten Hag has been reportedly urged to make some changes to the position, irrespective of David de Gea’s future decision. The right idea is to see the Red Devils bring in another keeper to challenge and compete with the Spaniard.

De Gea is set to agree a new deal with Manchester United despite some turbulence in negotiations. Ten Hag would like to bring a renowned star without causing too much friction among other keepers in his squad. Livakovic could become a solid option if he can cover and steadily take the Spaniard’s place in the future.

If they can sign him, he could become the first Croat to play for Manchester United. Additionally, for €10 million, he would fit in like a glove in their transfer budget. The Red Devils will remain active in the transfer window to sign numerous players. If the right opportunity arrives, a goalkeeper could also come in.
