Manchester United are keen on signing Victor Osimhen at the end of the season, with Napoli demanding £100 million for him.

Victor Osimhen has been in phenomenal form this season, scoring 26 goals in 31 matches. And a report from Daily Star claims that Manchester United are now stepping up their interest in the player after scouting him last week.

Apparently, Manchester United officials were in attendance when Napoli took on AC Milan in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last week. Osimhen could be a superb signing for the Red Devils as they look to bring in someone who can lead the line next season.

Manchester United signed Wout Weghorst on a loan deal to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, but the Dutchman has been quite underwhelming. He will return to his parent club Burnley at the end of the season, and Erik ten Hag must look to bring in a reliable goal scorer now.

The 24-year-old Nigerian striker is certainly one of the best in the world right now and could prove to be a superb, long-term investment for the Red Devils.

Manchester United have been overly dependent on Marcus Rashford for goals this season, and the England international has not disappointed. Rashford has been in splendid form. But he needs more help next season. Furthermore, the England international is more suited to the role of a left-sided forward. So Manchester United need a number nine who can lead the line for them.

Osimhen certainly fits the profile and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils can agree on a reasonable price with Napoli. The Italian giants have a reputation for being difficult negotiators and they will not want to lose a star player.

Napoli are likely to demand a substantial amount of money for Osimhen around £100 million and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils are prepared to pay over the odds. He has been linked with clubs like Chelsea and Bayern Munich in recent months as well.

All three clubs are in need of attacking reinforcements, and it will be interesting to see where the 24-year-old ends up. He has proven his quality in Serie A over the past year, and the opportunity to move to a big European club will be an attractive option for him.

Forget about Kane, sign Victor. You will be assured of goals for the next 5 years. There will be need to sign another striker, Rasmus. Get rid off Marcel
