Manchester United make Marcel Sabitzer decision

Manchester United signed Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich during the January transfer window.

It appears that Manchester United want to sign Marcel Sabitzer permanently at the end of the season, and the 29-year-old is also keen on the move. However, a report from The Sun claims that the Red Devils will only get the transfer across the line if Bayern Munich reduce their asking price.

Apparently, Bayern Munich want a deal worth around £25 million for the Austrian international. Manchester United are looking to sign him for a knockdown price, and it remains to be seen whether the two parties can come to an agreement soon.

Sabitzer has impressed at Old Trafford since his move in January. The 29-year-old was struggling for regular football at the German club, and he has had ample opportunities at Old Trafford so far. It is hardly a surprise that he wants to continue in the Premier League beyond this season.

Manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly an admirer of the player and has been impressed with the 29-year-old’s attitude and professionalism. The player’s agent also revealed recently that his client is enjoying Premier League football and it is a good fit for his skill set.

It is evident that all parties are keen on the transfer, and it remains to be seen whether Bayern Munich are prepared to sell him for a more reasonable price in the coming months. Sabitzer needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and a return to the German club would not be ideal for him.

The 29-year-old is clearly valued at Manchester United, and he should look to continue with the Red Devils. Manchester United will be hoping to challenge for major trophies next season and they need a deeper squad to compete on all fronts.

The midfield is in particular need of reinforcements. Players like Scott McTominay could look to move on in search of regular playing time, and Erik ten Hag should look to sign Sabitzer permanently so that he can partner with Brazilian international Casemiro in the middle of the park.

The Red Devils have been linked with players like Frenkie de Jong as well. It will be interesting to see if they can bring the Barcelona star to England at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Sabitzer is now well-settled in the Premier League, and he will hope to make a significant impact at Manchester United next season and establish himself as an indispensable asset for the club.
