Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, a target for Real Madrid.

Manchester United will compete with Real Madrid in the race to sign Leroy Sane. And a report from Defensa Central claims that the 27-year-old winger could look to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

Sane is nearing the end of his contract at Bayern Munich, and the German champions have not opened talks to renew his deal yet. The player will be a free agent in the summer of 2025, and it remains to be seen whether Bayern are prepared to let him leave this summer so that they can recoup a significant amount of money for him.

Bayern Munich need a quality striker, and they have been linked with players like Victor Osimhen. The Napoli striker is likely to cost a premium, and the German champions could raise a fair bit of money by selling Sane and investing it into the transfer of Osimhen.

Sane has proven his quality in the Premier League with Manchester City, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Manchester United. The Red Devils have spent a lot of money on players like Jadon Sancho and Antony in recent seasons.

Both wingers were expected to hit the ground running and transform Manchester United in the attack. However, Sancho and Antony have been largely underwhelming, and it seems that the Red Devils order looking at other wide options.

Sane is a world-class player on his day, and he could improve Manchester United immensely. The 27-year-old knows English football well, and he would not need time to settle in. The German international could make an immediate impact at Manchester United.

The Red Devils have improved a lot since the arrival of Erik ten Hag. But the Dutchman will have to improve his squad in order to challenge for the league title and the Champions League next season. Signing players like Sane will certainly help Manchester United bridge the gap with crosstown rivals, Manchester City.

It remains to be seen whether the German is keen to join Manchester City’s rivals at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking to add some depth to their attack as well, and the 27-year-old German international is firmly on their radar.

Carlo Ancelotti has had to use Federico Valverde as a wide forward from time to time. But the arrival of Sane will allow the Uruguay international to play in his natural role while having a specialist winger in place. In addition, Sane faces an uncertain future in the wake of his recent run-in with Sadio Mane. And it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid or Manchester United can sign him.
