Ansu Fati is linked with a summer move from Barcelona, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United keen on signing him.

A report from Fichajes claims that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Ansu Fati. And they could look to make a move for the 20-year-old Barcelona attacker when the summer transfer window opens.

Manchester United need to add more quality to their attack, with Marcus Rashford the only reliable goalscorer at the club right now. Fati has thus emerged as a viable target for the Red Devils.

The 20-year-old is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three, and he will add goals and creativity in the final third. Furthermore, the Spanish international has all the attributes to develop into a world-class player, and a manager like Erik ten Hag could unlock his potential.

As far as Tottenham are concerned, they have been overly reliant on Harry Kane for goals this season. The England international clearly needs more help in the attack. And signing a versatile forward could prove to be a wise decision.

However, Tottenham do not have a permanent manager in place right now, and it will be difficult for them to convince new signings. Fati will want to join a club where he will play regularly, and Tottenham are currently lacking in stability.

Furthermore, Manchester United are likely to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. So that will make them a more attractive destination for players. It remains to be seen whether Barcelona are prepared to let the 20-year-old leave at the end of the season.

The Catalan giants are going through financial difficulties, and it would make sense for them to cash in on their fringe players and invest in the squad. The 20-year-old has started just 11 games for Barcelona this season, and he is clearly not an important player for Xavi Hernandez.

The youngster needs to play regularly in order to fulfil his tremendous potential. So a move away from the Spanish club would be ideal for his development as well. A move to the Premier League would be an exciting step up in his career, and he will be hoping to prove his worth with regular football at Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur next season.
