Chelsea have reportedly been linked with a summer move for 18-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
Gavi is regarded as one of the best young players in world football, and he could prove to be a sensational acquisition for Chelsea. According to a report from the Spanish publication AS, emissaries from the London club met up with the player’s agent three weeks ago. And they have another meeting planned soon with the Barcelona prodigy.
Apparently, both parties were satisfied with the initial talks, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the midfielder to move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Gavi is reportedly unhappy with the way Barcelona have dealt with him recently. And Chelsea are prepared to offer him an exit route amid interest from Premier League rivals. Apparently, the Blues have explained to the 18-year-old the importance he will have in their project.
