Arsenal keeping tabs on Ryan Gravenberch

Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign 20-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch at the end of the season.

Ryan Gravenberch joined Bayern Munich from Ajax at the start of the campaign, but the move has not worked out for him yet. He has started just one league game for the Bundesliga club, and he needs to play more often in order to fulfil his potential. Arsenal are looking to provide him with an exit route, as per Florian Plettenberg.

The 20-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him, and he cannot afford to sit on the bench in a big club every week. It will be interesting to see if the player decides to move on at the end of the season. He has been linked with Liverpool as well.

A move to Arsenal would be a wise decision and he is likely to play more often at the North London club. Arsenal need to add more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and they need someone who can operate beside Thomas Partey. Mikel Arteta could help the 20-year-old regain his form and confidence with regular football at Arsenal.

Gravenberch is adept at providing defensive cover to the backline and controlling the tempo of the game. He could be the ideal fit for Arsenal alongside Partey next season. The player is only 20 and is likely to improve with coaching and experience. It will be interesting to see if Bayern Munich are prepared to let the player leave at the end of the season.

Gravenberch dropped down the pecking order under former manager, Julian Nagelsmann. But the Bundesliga outfit have now switched managers, and it will be interesting to see if Thomas Tuchel is prepared to give the midfielder an opportunity to establish himself as a regular starter.

Gravenberch was regarded as a prodigious talent during his time at Ajax. And it remains to be seen whether he can fulfil his potential in the coming seasons. Regular football will be the key to his development, and he should look to leave Bayern Munich in the coming months.

Arsenal are well placed to win the league title this season, and they will return to the Champions league. The Gunners will need a deeper squad to compete on all fronts and Gravenberch could be a smart signing for them.

The Bundesliga champions paid around €25 million to sign the midfielder, and Arsenal will be hoping to snap him up on a bargain. The move could prove to be a masterstroke if the midfielder manages to fulfil his tremendous potential in the coming seasons.
