Arsenal are interested in signing AC Milan full-back Theo Hernandez ahead of next season, will have to pay over €60 million for him.

According to Fabrizio Romano via CaughtOffside, Arsenal will have to break the bank to sign Theo Hernandez. The Gunners have been linked with the AC Milan star of late and are likely to push for his services in the summer according to the reports.

However, Romano believes that the Milan full-back is considered untouchable at the club. And, only crazy money could force the Serie A club to sell the 25-year-old. Even €50 to €60 million will not be enough to prise him away from Italy.

Romano said, “Theo Hernandez is almost untouchable at this stage, Milan would not even consider €50m or €60m bids for him. Crucial player who could only leave for crazy money,” Romano said.

Hernandez joined Milan from Real Madrid back in the summer of 2019. He couldn’t really force himself into the Madrid first team and as a result, decided to join the Italian outfit. Things started to click for the French international after joining Milan.

He has gone from strength to strength since arriving at the club. The 25-year-old has featured in 155 matches for the team in black and red. Hernandez has over 50 goal contributions while playing as a full-back and 23 of those are goals.

The former Real Madrid full-back is considered amongst the best in the world. And, has been on fire in the ongoing season as well. He has eight goal contributions in his 33 outings.

Meanwhile, Premier League leaders Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old. However, it doesn’t really make sense for the Gunners to break the bank to sign Hernandez given the fact that they brought Oleksandr Zinchenko to the club ahead of the ongoing season.

The former Manchester City full-back has done a sensational job for the Gunners and it shouldn’t be a priority for them to upgrade the left-back position. While Kieran Tierney’s future at the club is uncertain, they do have Nuno Tavares who is currently on loan at Marseille.

Tavares is good enough to cover for Zinchenko if Tierney ends up leaving. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they do really push for Theo Hernandez in the summer.

I don’t think he’s the kind of profile player who will give Zinchenko a hard fight at left back position. And, the amount of price tag in him would even make situations worst to acquire him to Arsenal.
    My thoughts!!
