Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in acquiring the services of Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal want to sign Ollie Watkins in the summer. All three of the Premier League clubs are on the look for attacking reinforcement and have their eyes set on the Aston Villa star.

The England international started at Exeter City. But, he came into the limelight while playing for Brentford. His impressive performances resulted in a move to Aston Villa. They paid €30 million for his services, an amount that was considered a touch on the higher side but the player has managed to prove that he is worth every penny spent.

Watkins has had a great season so far and he has been proving himself in the English top flight for a while now. As a result, the interest of all three clubs in the 27-year-old is quite understandable.

Villa were struggling halfway through the season. But, their fortunes changed post the appointment of Unai Emery. While the manager has had a big impact, credit also goes to their star forward who has delivered when it mattered the most.

He has 16 goal contributions in his 30 outings in all competitions. And, Watkins is amongst the best English forwards in the league. While his contract with Villa runs until the summer of 2025, he is expected to be on the move in the summer given the amount of interest in him.

Manchester United are one of the clubs that are keen on having him in their ranks. They have done great in the ongoing season. A lot of it is down to their new manager Erik ten Hag who has transformed the club. However, he believes they need a new forward with Anthony Martial’s future uncertain and Wout Weghorst set to return to his parent club.

Liverpool are also keen for reinforcement in the summer. While their major concern is the midfield, they are also looking to bring in a new forward with Roberto Firmino set to part ways with the club as a free agent in a few months.

Manchester United and Liverpool will face competition from league leaders Arsenal for his signatures. They are currently leading the race to the league title and are all set to return to the Champions League next season. The Gunners want to further bolster their attack and they believe Watkins could help their cause.

His arrival could add an x-factor for them in the final third. With three top Premier League teams set to battle it out for his services, it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football next season.
