Roberto Firmino does not want to continue in the Premier League, with the Liverpool forward looking to move to a different country.

According to a report by Torcedores, Roberto Firmino does not intend on staying in England beyond this season. The 31-year-old Liverpool star is not interested in staying in the Premier League. He is looking for an opportunity in a different country.

The Brazil international’s contract with the Merseyside club ends in the summer. While they wanted him to continue at the club, Firmino does not want to extend his contract at Anfield. He has already informed his decision of leaving Liverpool to the higher authorities at the club.

It has been a while since the news broke on the internet. And, post that, a lot of clubs have been keen on signing the 31-year-old forward. Firmino came into the limelight on the back of his impressive performances for TSG Hoffenheim.

His performances for the German club attracted the eyes of Liverpool who signed him in the summer of 2015. The Brazil international has since been a part of the Merseyside club. And, he has won every possible silverware at the club.

Firmino has featured in over 350 matches for Jurgen Klopp’s team. He has found the back of the net on 108 occasions and also has 79 assists to his name. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the 31-year-old has 15 goal involvements in 29 matches.

While injuries have troubled him of late, the Brazil international still has a few years left in him. And, the fact that he is a versatile player who can feature in any of the attacking positions makes him a highly sought-after individual.

A lot of top European clubs are keen on having the 31-year-old. The likes of Barcelona, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund and Roma have been linked with a move for the soon-to-be free agent. Even Brazilian club Flamengo are interested in acquiring Firmino’s services.

However, it looks unlikely that the Liverpool forward will head to Brazil in the summer given the fact that he still has a few more years left in him. While Firmino does not want to stay in England, he would surely look to play his football in Europe for a few more seasons.
