Real Madrid are interested in acquiring the services of 27-year-old Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are planning to build a dream team by 2024. And, Benjamin Pavard is one of the names on their transfer target list. The 27-year-old Bayern Munich defender has been on their radar for a while and as per the reports, they will push for his signatures in the summer of 2024.
Pavard started off at LOSC Lille, joining their youth academy back in 2005. He went through the ranks at the club and became a first-team regular before joining VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2016. Pavard went from strength to strength after joining Stuttgart.
The 27-year-old enjoyed three successful seasons with the German club. He featured in 88 matches for the club and also had 4 goal contributions to his name. His impressive performances attracted the attention of German giants, Bayern Munich.
Bayern struck a deal with VfB Stuttgart for the signatures of Pavard in the summer of 2019. And, since then he has been an integral part of their setup. The 27-year-old has featured in 151 matches for the German giants and has 23 goal contributions to his name.
As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the France international has seven goal contributions in 32 outings. Pavard has been integral to their success over the past few years. And, his performances for both club and country have not gone unnoticed.
The 27-year-old’s contract at Bayern runs until the summer of 2024. His contract with the German clubs ends in just over a year but there are still no talks of a renewal. While the player is happy at the club, he is yet to commit his long-term future to the club.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are well aware of the situation and have their eyes set on Pavard. Los Blancos are planning to build a team of superstars that will have both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. While it looks highly unlikely, Florentino Pérez is someone who has done wonders in the transfer market even in the past.
While their major focus will be on Mbappe and Haaland, they will also try to land Pavard on a free transfer if he does not sign an extension with his current club. Dani Carvajal has been Real Madrid’s first-choice right-back for a while now. He is already 31 and Pavard’s arrival in the summer of 2024 can surely help their cause.
