Real Madrid have reportedly been linked with a summer move for 30-year-old Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.

A report from Defensa Central claims that Real Madrid are looking to bring in attacking reinforcements at the end of the season. And they are looking at a number of strikers, including Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

It will be interesting to see if Los Blancos come forward with a concrete proposal to sign the 30-year-old Egyptian winger at the end of the season. Salah has been outstanding for Liverpool since has moved to the Premier League, helping them win every single trophy at the club level.

Despite having a below-par season with Liverpool this term, the Egyptian international has 22 goals and 11 assists to his name across all competitions. Real Madrid could certainly use someone like him on the right side of their attack. Meanwhile, Salah reportedly dreams of joining Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti has had to use Federico Valverde on the right flank. But the Uruguayan midfielder is more suited to a central midfield role. Salah’s arrival will allow Valverde to play in his natural role. and it would strengthen Real Madrid as a unit.

Furthermore, the Spanish giants have been overly reliant on Karim Benzema for goals in recent seasons. But the Frenchman is in his twilight years, so Real Madrid need more goalscoring options. Benzema thus needs more help and support from his teammates.

Salah can share the creative and goal-scoring burden alongside the Frenchman The Liverpool attacker has proven himself at the highest level on a consistent basis and could prove to be a quality acquisition for Real Madrid.

However, he has a contract with Liverpool until the summer of 2025, and the Reds might not be willing to cash in on him just yet. In addition, recent reports have claimed that the 30-year-old is not ready to leave Liverpool.

Liverpool will struggle to replace a player of his quality especially if they miss out on Champions League qualification. So it seems highly unlikely that Real Madrid will be able to prise him away from Anfield in the summer. The likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen might be more attainable targets for the Spanish giants.
