€40 million-rated Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga is interested in joining Premier League leaders Arsenal ahead of next season.

According to Faro de Vigo via Sport Witness, Gabri Veiga is interested in joining Arsenal ahead of next season. The Gunners have shown interest in acquiring the services of the 20-year-old alongside a few other top European clubs. And the youngster has a release clause worth €40 million in his Celta Vigo contract.

Meanwhile, Veiga has been a part of Celta Vigo’s setup since his childhood days. He has gone up the ranks at the club at some pace and established himself as a key part of their squad. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was promoted to their first team ahead of the ongoing season.

He has since made 25 league appearances and has 12 goal contributions to his name. Veiga’s heroics have not gone unnoticed. And, a lot of clubs are keen on having him in their ranks ahead of next season.

The Spain Under-21 star’s current contract at the club runs until the summer of 2026. However, he is likely to part ways with the club in the summer given the amount of interest from across Europe. And, the fact that there is a €40 million release clause in his contract makes him an appealing target.

Meanwhile, Napoli are one of the clubs that are desperate to land the 20-year-old midfielder. The Partenopei are all set to trigger the release clause. However, the player prefers to move to England at this stage in his career and is keen on joining Arsenal.

Veiga is desperate for a move to an English club preferably Arsenal. He is inclined towards fulfilling his dream of playing for the Gunners. And, the London-based club attract him the most. They are his favourite team, and he wants to work under Mikel Arteta.

Meanwhile, the player’s representatives love the project at Arsenal. They are well aware of the fact that Arteta is building a team of young talented footballers that can challenge all major titles. And, they would love to see Veiga join the Gunners ahead of next summer.

Arsenal are currently leading the race for the Premier League title. And, they are all set to return to UEFA Champions League next season. As a result, they will look for reinforcement in the summer and the Spain Under-21 star could be a great addition to their ranks.

While there are other European clubs who are keen on signing the 20-year-old, he is still pushing for a move to Arsenal. And, it will be interesting to see if the Gunners do end up pushing for him and trigger his €40 million release clause in the summer.
