Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Danish midfielder Jesper Lindstrom from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

A report from Sport1 claims that Jesper Lindstrom is on Arsenal’s radar. And the Gunners will have to pay €30 million in order to sign the 23-year-old from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window.

The highly-rated attacking midfielder has been an impressive form for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring nine goals and picking up four assists across all competitions. The Danish midfielder has the potential to develop into a top class player and could prove to be the ideal long term acquisition for Arsenal.

The Gunners need to add more depth to their midfield. And Lindstrom would be a superb acquisition. Arsenal have been overly reliant on Martin Odegaard for creativity from the central areas this season. They cannot expect the Norwegian to play every game next season, especially with Champions League football set to return to the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta needs to bring in someone who will be able to rotate with Odegaard and help out Arsenal in the final third. Lindstrom certainly fits the profile and the 23-year-old could be attracted to the idea of playing in the Premier League. He has been linked with Premier League side Liverpool as well.

Arsenal are well-placed to win the Premier League title this season, and they are likely to be an attractive option for most players. A move to the north London club would be a major step up in the 23-year-old’s career, and it could help accelerate his development. He will play alongside better players at Arsenal and competing against the best defenders in the Premier League.

Furthermore, Arteta has proven himself to be a manager who can get the best out of young players. So the Spaniard could help the 23-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder develop further.

The Bundesliga club are prepared to let the player leave if their asking price is met, and Arsenal certainly have the finances to pay up. The €30 million asking valuation seems quite reasonable for a player of his potential, and Lindstrom could prove to be a bargain in the long run.

The midfielder has a contract with the German club until the summer of 2026. So it is highly unlikely that Eintracht Frankfurt will lower they are asking price. The Gunners must look to come forward with a concrete proposal in the coming weeks and secure the 23-year-old’s services before his other suitors decide to enter the chase.
