Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to replace Hugo Lloris.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having the services of Robert Sanchez. The 25-year-old shot-stopper is a part of Spurs’ potential targets to replace Hugo Lloris. And, the Premier League club are expected to push for his signatures in the summer.

Sanchez joined the Brighton youth academy back in the summer of 2013. And, he has been a part of the Seagulls ever since. He was sent out on multiple loans to gain first-team experience, which eventually did count as the Spanish international became the undisputed number one at the Premier League club.

The 25-year-old has gone from strength to strength over the last few seasons. He has made a total of 88 first-team appearances and has 28 clean sheets to his name. Sanchez has been an integral part of the Seagulls over the years. But, things have not been the same of late, and he has fallen out of favour at Brighton.

While the Spanish international’s contract at Brighton runs until the summer of 2025, he could be on his way out in the upcoming transfer window. Despite having seven clean sheets in 23 appearances in the ongoing season, the 25-year-old is not expected to be a part of the squad ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Jhave their eyes set on the Brighton goalkeeper. The London club are on the look for a young goalkeeper who can replace the potentially outbound Hugo Lloris for the next season. They want to sign someone who is ready to be the undisputed number one at the PL club from the get-go and can give them long years in goal.

Robert Sanchez has done a great job in the Premier League over the last few seasons. He has 27 clean sheets in 86 matches in the English top flight. The 25-year-old shot-stopper’s arrival at Tottenham will surely solve quite a few of their headaches. Spurs are not yet certain about who their next manager will be.

But they have already started to make moves to bolster their squad ahead of next season. Lloris is already 36 and he has been on the decline of late. As a result, it is quite sensible to look for a long-term replacement. While Sanchez is one of Spurs’ targets for the summer, they also have eyes on David Raya, Mike Maignan, and Dean Henderson as possible replacements.
