Liverpool are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani, a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
A report from the Fichajes claims that Liverpool will face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United for 24-year-old French international Randal Kolo Muani.
Kolo Muani has been impressive form this season contributing to 30 goals (16 strikes and 14 assists) across all competitions. The report claims that he is likely to be the long-term replacement for Roberto Firmino, who is set to leave the club as a free agent.
The 24-year-old has been one of the most prolific attackers in the Bundesliga, and he has a big future ahead of him. The opportunity to play for a club like Liverpool is likely to be a tempting proposition for him.
Moving to the Premier League would be a major step up in his career. And playing alongside top-class defenders in the Premier League could accelerate his development. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a proven track record of improving talented young attackers. And Kolo Muani will feel that he will be able to fulfil his potential under the German manager.
Apart from his ability to score goals consistently, that 24-year-old will help out creatively as well. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can agree on a reasonable fee with the German club now. Kolo Muani has a long-term contract with Frankfurt, and they are unlikely to let him leave for cheap.
Liverpool have plenty of other priorities in the transfer market. And the German club will have to be reasonable with their demands for the move to go through. Meanwhile, Chelsea need a reliable goalscorer, with Graham Potter looking to bring in the French international striker at the end of the season.
Kolo Muani could be the final piece of the puzzle for the Blues as they look to return to the top of English football once again. Meanwhile, Manchester United have been overly reliant on Marcus Rashford this season, and the England international clearly needs more help.
