Manchester United are reportedly looking to sell 28-year-old Swedish defender Victor Lindelof at the end of the season.

Victor Lindelof has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United since the arrivals of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. A report from Football Insider claims that the Red Devils are now looking to cash in on the 28-year-old.

Lindelof needs to leave Manchester United to play regular first-team football. And a move away from the Premier League club could be ideal for him. The 28-year-old is still a good defender who is unlikely to have any shortage of clubs looking to sign him.

The Swede has started just five games in the Premier League this season. And a player of his quality needs to play more often at this stage of his career. Lindelof is not the only defender being linked with a move away from Manchester United. Apparently, Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire are up for sale as well.

Manchester United are reportedly looking to bring in Napoli defender Kim Min-jae at the end of the season. The 26-year-old has been exceptional for the Italian club this season. His arrival will push the Swedish defender further down the pecking order. So it makes sense for him to move on.

Manager Erik ten Hag is looking to rebuild the Manchester United squad and make them capable of challenging for major honours. Apparently, the Dutch manager is hoping to use Lindelof in a deal to sign Denzel Dumfries.

The 28-year-old Sweden international is certainly good enough to play for a club like Inter Milan. And a move to Italy could be ideal for him. They are likely to lose players like Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar as free agents. And they need to bring in a quality centre-back to replace the two players.

The 28-year-old defender has shown his quality in the Premier League since joining Manchester United from Benfica. And he will be hoping to play at a higher level. It remains to be seen where he ends up in the summer. Inter Milan are one of the biggest clubs in Italy and a move to San Siro seems like an ideal fit for him.
