Liverpool will have to pay around €50 million as they look to beat Real Madrid to the signatures of Antonio Silva.

According to Ekrem Konur via Fichajes, Liverpool are keen on securing the services of Antonio Silva. However, they will have to battle it out with Real Madrid for the signature of the 19-year-old who will cost them around €50 million. The Benfica centre-back is a huge prospect for the future and a lot of clubs are interested in having his services.

Silva has been a part of the Benfica setup since his childhood days. He has gone up the ranks at the club and has managed to make a name for himself with impressive performances for the first team.

The 19-year-old was promoted to the first team ahead of the ongoing season. And, he has already proven his worth. The Portugal international has featured in 21 league matches and also has two goals to his name. Silva has done a great job so far this season and his performances have attracted a lot of attention from elsewhere.

A lot of clubs have been scouting the 19-year-old and are ready to make a move for him in the summer. However, Silva’s contract at the club runs until the summer of 2027. As a result, the Portuguese club will have a stronghold in the negotiations. And, they want around €50 million for the 19-year-old.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are one of the clubs who are willing to push for him in the summer. The Merseyside club have struggled in the ongoing season and they will be eager to bounce back next time around. Jurgen Klopp will head into the market for quite a few signings.

While the German manager’s major headache is the midfield, he is also looking to bring in a new defender who can eventually pair up with Virgil van Dijk. Liverpool have identified Silva as a great option to have. The 19-year-old can give them his best years and he has all the skills required to play in the Premier League.

However, the Merseyside club will have to battle it out with Spanish giants Real Madrid for his signature. Madrid are keen on signing the 19-year-old as they have had their share of troubles in the ongoing season due to injuries to key defenders. Los Blancos have the financial backing to pull off the move and they will surely make Liverpool’s life difficult as they look to sign Silva.
