Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in signing Napoli sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia ahead of next season.
According to a report by Football Insider, Real Madrid and Manchester City are keen on having Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in their ranks. The 22-year-old has taken Serie A by storm in the ongoing season, and many clubs have their eyes set on him.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli ahead of the ongoing season. And, in such a short span of time, he is already a fan favourite at the club. The former Dinamo Batumi winger has been on fire in his first season for the Partenopei.
The 22-year-old has featured in 29 matches. And, he has 13 goals and 15 assists to his name. 28 goal contributions in 29 outings in your first season in a new league are numbers not everyone can produce. The Georgia international is a talent for the ages and the interest in his services is understandable.
Napoli brought the 22-year-old to the club for a fee of just £8.6 million. And, his £26,000-a-week contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium runs until the summer of 2027.
The Serie A club are well aware of the amount of interest in his services. And, they are ready to offer him a new deal with better pay. But, they are not interested in adding a release clause to any new agreement. While the player is keen on having a buyout clause, the club is hesitant as they believe he is worth around £140 million.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Manchester City are aware of Naopli’s valuation of the 22-year-old. The two clubs are impressed with what they have seen of the Georgia international. And, they are willing to break the bank for his services in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti’s team are looking to add more firepower to their ranks. While they do not really need a new left winger, they could still push for Kvaratskhelia’s signature as he can also play as a second striker and the right winger.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are also interested in the Napoli winger. Pep Guardiola’s team are always on the lookout to improve their squad. And, Manchester City believe having Kvaratskhelia in their ranks can improve them further despite having signed Jack Grealish in a big money move a few years back.
While the 22-year-old is the talk of the town, it will be interesting to see if he signs a new deal with Napoli and whether that deal will include a release clause or not. Real Madrid are yet to establish contact, and there is a long way to go before a move materialises.
