Liverpool rival Arsenal, Real Madrid in Gabri Veiga pursuit

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga, also a target for Arsenal and Real Madrid.

A report from Defensa Central claims that Liverpool have joined the race to sign Gabri Veiga at the end of the season. The 20-year-old Celta Vigo midfielder, who has a release clause worth €40 million, is also a target for Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Gabri Veiga has a contract with Celta Vigo until the summer of 2026, and he has a release clause of €40 million in his contract. It is fair to assume that the Spanish club will not want to sell the player on the cheap.

So Liverpool will have to trigger the release clause in order to sign him at the end of the season. The Premier League side certainly have the finances to pay that kind of money for a prodigious young talent. And it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

Liverpool need to add more creativity and goals to their squad, and the Celta Vigo midfielder would be a quality long-term acquisition. Veiga has eight goals and three assists to his name in La Liga this season, and he has the potential to develop into a key player for Liverpool.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a proven track record of improving talented young players into established stars. And the German could play a key role in the development of the Celta Vigo midfielder as well.

The opportunity to show his quality in the Premier League is likely to be an attractive proposition for the youngster. And Liverpool could certainly turn his head in the coming months. The Reds will be able to offer him a lucrative contract and the platform to showcase his qualities at a higher level.

A transfer from Celta Vigo to Liverpool would be a major step up in the player’s career. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can fend off the competition from Real Madrid and Arsenal for the player. Both Arsenal and Real Madrid could use more goals and creativity in the final third. And they have the financial resources to pay the midfielder’s release clause as well.

The two clubs will probably be a more attractive destination for the talented youngster next season. Arsenal and Real Madrid are more or less guaranteed to finish in the Champions League positions. On the other hand, Liverpool are fighting for their place in the premier European competition next year.

If the Reds fail to qualify for the Champions League, they could find it difficult to attract prodigious young talents like Veiga. The 20-year-old is currently one of the most promising young talents in Spanish football. And whoever ends up signing the €40 million-rated midfielder will have a future star on their hands.
