Newcastle United are reportedly looking to sign Palmeiras winger Giovani, valued at €25 million, at the end of the season.

Giovani is highly rated in South America and could prove to be a quality acquisition for Newcastle United. Journalist Jorge Nicola has revealed on YouTube via SportWitness that the 19-year-old Brazilian winger will cost around €25 million at the end of the season. And the Magpies should be able to afford that.

Newcastle United are one of the richest clubs in the world, and they have done well to strengthen their squad in recent months. They will be looking to bring in better players in the summer so that they can compete on all fronts. And Giovani would be a superb long-term investment.

The 19-year-old can play on either flank, and he is capable of leading the line as well. Giovani made quite an impression in the Under-20 South American Championships with Brazil and will fancy his chances of doing well in European football as well.

The opportunity to join a big club in the Premier League could be a tempting proposition for him. And it remains to be seen whether Newcastle United can get the deal across the line in the coming months.

The reported €25 million asking price could prove to be a bargain if the youngster manages to fulfill his potential in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Newcastle will have to compete with clubs like Barcelona and Bayer Leverkusen for the highly talented winger.

While Leverkusen cannot compete with the Premier League club in terms of resources, Barcelona are going through financial difficulties. Furthermore, the 19-year-old needs to join a club where he is likely to get adequate game time. And Eddie Howe might be able to provide him with the platform he needs at Newcastle.

He is unlikely to start ahead of players like Raphinha and Ousmane Dembele at Barcelona. Even at Leverkusen, the 19-year-old would have to compete with established stars like Moussa Diaby. Newcastle are a club on the rise and they have the resources to compete with any club in world football. There is no reason why they cannot lure the Brazilian to St. James’ Park.
