Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has reportedly been linked with a move away to Real Madrid at the end of the season.

According to Fichajes, Spanish giants Real Madrid are keen on signing Liverpool midfield prodigy Stefan Bajcetic. But the Reds are not prepared to sanction the departure of the 18-year-old anytime soon.

Bajcetic has been a key player for Liverpool this season, and the youngster has established himself as a regular starter in recent months. The talented young midfielder has a big future at Anfield. So it is no surprise that the Premier League outfit are not prepared to sell him.

Bajcetic is clearly a prodigious young talent and he has the attributes to develop into a top-class player. And his progress has captured the attention of several high-profile clubs, including La Liga champions Real Madrid.

Real Madrid could certainly use more quality in the middle of the park, especially with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos on their last legs. The Spanish giants have invested in a number of talented young midfielders recently. And it seems that they are hoping to add to the pool of young talent at the club.

The opportunity to return to Spain could be an attractive proposition for the young midfielder. But he has a long term contract with Liverpool, and the Reds are unlikely to entertain any offers for him.

Bajcetic has been getting ample game time at Liverpool. And Jurgen Klopp will hope to help the player improve further and establish himself as a key player for the Reds in the upcoming seasons.

A move to Real Madrid might not be ideal for the player’s development just yet. He needs to stay at Liverpool and continue playing regularly at a high level. Furthermore, working with a world-class coach like Klopp will only help the 18-year-old develop as a player.

In addition to that, Liverpool desperately need midfield reinforcements, with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner likely leaving the club as free agents in the summer. There is no way the Reds would sanction the departure of another central midfielder without bringing in multiple replacements first.

The 18-year-old has no reason to force an exit from Liverpool and will be content to stay at the Premier League club for the foreseeable future despite the interest from Real Madrid.
