Italian giants Juventus are keen on signing 24-year-old Arsenal full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu ahead of next season.

According to a report by Calciomercatoweb, Juventus are interested in signing Arsenal full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu in the summer. The 24-year-old has been on their radar for a while now. The Italian club were interested in his services even before he moved to London. And the Serie A giants will likely approach Arsenal for talks for the versatile defender.

Juventus have identified an opportunity to sign the Japan international in the summer. With Mikel Arteta keen on adding a new right-back to his squad, a move away from the club for Tomiyasu is a possibility. However, it won’t be easy, given how important the 24-year-old has been to Arsenal of late.

Takehiro Tomiyasu joined Arsenal back in the summer of 2021 from Bologna. Ever since his arrival at the club, he has played an integral part in their progress. The Japan international has been essential to Arsenal’s cause in the ongoing season.

The former Bologna man has featured in a total of 48 matches for the Gunners and has three assists to his name. In the ongoing season, the versatile defender has played 27 matches for the team in red and white.

Juventus have been monitoring the situation of Tomiyasu at Arsenal. With the Gunners keen on adding a new attacking right-back to their club, they might be willing to sell the 24-year-old. Arteta wants Ivan Fresneda at the club as he looks to add more firepower in defence.

If they manage to land the 18-year-old, the Serie A giants might have a chance of signing their target. However, Juventus will have to work hard prise him away from the Emirates because of his importance to Arsenal’s success.

Massimiliano Allegri wants to strengthen his defence. He wants to add a new right-back to his squad. And the Italian manager has identified Tomiyasu as a potential candidate. The Serie A giants are struggling due to different reasons.

15 points have been docked off from Juventus’s ongoing season. They have suffered because of artificially inflating transfer fees to falsely boost capital gains. The Italian giants will look to bounce back in the next season. And, Allegri will look to bring in a few reinforcements to once again challenge for the title.

Tomiyasu is an important transfer target for them. However, it will be interesting to see if they can manage to prise him away from the Gunners ahead of next season. For now, talks between Juventus and Arsenal seem to be on the cards for the versatile defender.
