Lautaro Martinez is keen on moving to the Premier League, with Arsenal one of the clubs interested in the Argentine forward.

Pete O’Rourke has told Give Me Sport that Lautaro Martinez could be reportedly interested in joining Arsenal or any other top-level Premier League side in the summer. The Gunners are vying for the £80 million-rated World Cup winner, with other Big Six clubs also keen.

Inter Milan could make a substantial decision regarding some key players. Financial troubles remain at the forefront of their problems. Selling a few of their prized assets might be the way forward for the club, with Lautaro Martinez one of the valuable stars in the squad.

Inter Milan could sell the World Cup winner for £80 million if a sizeable offer arrives in the summer. There is considerable interest from top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

The Gunners’ name recently emerged in the media with connections to the striker. Arsenal have remained in contact with Martinez’s representatives to find the finer details before making a move. Mikel Arteta is not particularly looking for a new striker, but they might pounce on an opportunity such as Martinez.

Pete O’Rourke insists Martinez would be reportedly interested in joining a Premier League side. He said, “Lautaro Martinez has been a good form for Inter Milan recently. I think he would be interested in a move to the Premier League, and I’m sure Arsenal and a number of clubs are keeping tabs on his situation.”

While Arsenal had shown an interest in the past, they have enough quality in the No.9 position in Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. While both those attackers can play wide roles, Martinez only plays centrally. Yet, he could prove an efficient addition to this squad, which is flying under Arteta.

If Arsenal make a move for Martinez, it could put the future of Ligue 1 top scorer Folarin Balogun under significant doubt. The young striker will return from his loan at Reims in the summer when Arteta will make a tough decision on his inclusion for next season.

Arsenal are in a good position in the Premier League title race. And if they win in May, they stand a chance to attract the best players to the Emirates. Arteta could spend big in the summer, with names like Declan Rice linked with a move. Someone like Martinez would certainly become tempted to play in north London now compared to when the Gunners were interested a few seasons ago.
