Real Madrid are keen on adding another centre-back into the mix. Carlo Ancelotti wants to add another world-class defender and make rotation easier. With the future of Nacho Fernandez uncertain their plans to buy a centre-back in the summer do make sense.

Cristian Romero is one of their transfer targets for the centre-back position. While their priority is still to push for Josko Gvardiol, who wants to join them, Los Blancos are aware that it won’t be an easy operation given the interest from all top clubs across Europe.
