30-year-old attacker Wilfried Zaha is no longer a priority signing for Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report by Football Insider, Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal no longer view Wilfried Zaha as a priority target. He is still a part of their transfer list but is no longer at the top.

Zaha’s contract at Crystal Palace expires in the summer, and he will be a free agent. As a result, a lot of clubs in the English top flight are interested in his services. There is no clarity about a possible extension.

The player wants to move to a Champions League club ahead of next season. But the Eagles will try their best to keep their star forward with them until the end of his career. Crystal Palace do not want to spend big bucks in the summer to replace him. And, as a result, will try their best to convince him to stay.

The 30-year-old winger already earns £130,000 per week, and increasing his wages further does not look like a feasible option for Palace. However, they can offer him a long-term contract to keep him at Selhurst Park. There is no communication from the player’s end as of now. And, the Eagles feel they cannot plan for the future without knowing his intentions.

Wilfried Zaha started off his career at the youth academy of Crystal Palace before joining Manchester United in 2013. He went on multiple loan spells before returning to Selhurst Park on a permanent basis in the winter of 2015.

The Cote d’Ivoire international has featured in 450 matches for Palace. He has found the back of the net on 89 occasions and has 76 assists to his name. Zaha has been their mainstay for years now and it makes sense why they don’t want to lose out on him.

Arsenal and Tottenham had him as a priority target for the summer. But as per the recent reports he no longer tops their transfer list. They will still push for his signatures if he decides to leave for free. But they won’t be going all out for his services.

Tottenham need a new forward, as Antonio Conte wants more firepower ahead of next season. With Harry Kane’s future uncertain, their interest in Zaha is quite understandable. However, Tottenham will try to look for someone who can offer them long years ahead.

As far as Arsenal are concerned, they are in desperate need of a forward. The injury to Gabriel Jesus and the inconsistency of Eddie Nketiah in front of goal has been a problem of late. Mikel Arteta wants a new frontman, but they will prefer signing an out-and-out number nine ahead of the 30-year-old. Zaha’s contract situation is complicated, and it will be interesting to see where he ends up ahead of next season.
