Paris Saint-Germain join Richarlison chase

Paris Saint-Germain are in the chase for Richarlison with Real Madrid, as the Brazilian could depart in the summer.

According to Fichajes, Richarlison re-emerges as a target for Paris Saint-Germain for the summer window. The Brazilian is also chased by Real Madrid, as he could draw the line on his Tottenham career after a terrible start to life in north London.

Richarlison has been the face of consistent performances in the Premier League right from his time at Watford. He is considered a hero at Everton after helping the Toffees avoid relegation last season, which earned him a big move to Tottenham afterward.

Even in the summer before last, Richarlison was primed to sign for a club outside England. Paris Saint-Germain knocked on Everton’s door on more than one occasion, but the Toffees stayed firm. Last summer, Tottenham ended up paying £60 million to sign the attacker, but he is yet to show his true worth.

After a slow start to life at Spurs, Richarlison was pushed back by an injury suffered at the World Cup. He is yet to open his Tottenham account in the Premier League. There are questions raised about his contributions on Antonio Conte’s side, who seem to like him on the bench.

Despite Heung-min Son’s terrible form this term, Richarlison has been unable to knock him off the starting lineup. If the situation continues, the Tottenham attacker might consider his future at the club and could evaluate offers from elsewhere.

Real Madrid are said to be interested in the forward. They are in the market for a new striker to complement and eventually replace Karim Benzema. They are alternatively looking at many other options, but if Richarlison becomes available, an approach could become possible.

Madrid are also chasing Rayan Cherki of Lyon, who is seen as a similar striker to Benzema. If they chase Richarlison, they will face the prospect of competing with Paris Saint-Germain for the Tottenham attacker.

PSG could allow Neymar to leave the club, but only a handful of clubs, like Chelsea, could make a move possible. The Blues are reportedly interested in the 31-year-old, but there are many complications with signing the superstar. The Parisians consider Richarlison the ideal replacement and could pay the right fee to sign him.

Richarlison could decide in the summer if he wants to make a big leap to one of the Euro giants or remain in England. While he still may have a good career at Tottenham, the current scenario points in the other direction.

PSG have great players, including Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. Having top quality plauers around could change his game from what he endures at Tottenham. He will still cost a lot of money, considering Spurs would want to make a profit over their investment.
