Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
There have been rumours that the Reds could be willing to cash in on the Egyptian during the summer transfer window but journalist Dean Jones has revealed that any club hoping to sign the 30-year-old is likely to be priced out for a move.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “Even if somebody like Salah wanted to leave Liverpool, I think he’d probably be priced out of a move because I don’t see who would be buying Mo Salah at this moment in time.”
Salah recently signed a long-term contract with Liverpool and the Reds are highly unlikely to let him leave at the end of the season.
The Egyptian international has been an exceptional signing since his move from Roma back in 2017. Salah has managed to outscore every single Liverpool player during his time at the club and he has helped them win every single trophy at the club level.
The Egyptian Is undoubtedly a club legend and Liverpool cannot afford to lose him just yet. Salah is still very much in his peak years and he will be a key player for Liverpool going forward.
The Reds have had a disappointing campaign this year but they will be hoping to bounce back strongly in the next season and challenge for major trophies once again.
Liverpool came close to winning the quadruple last year but injury problems have dismantled their season this year.
Salah remains one of the best players in the world and there will not be any shortage of suitors if the 30-year-old is made available, but a summer move is simply unfathomable, especially with Liverpool in desperate need of attacking reinforcements.
The Reds need to add more goals to their side and letting their best goal-scorer leave the club would be a baffling decision.
Furthermore, the player renewed his deal with Liverpool only recently and the Reds are likely to demand a massive fee for the player.
At 30 Salah is unlikely to have great room for improvement and therefore his suitors are unlikely to shell out massive sums of money for him.
Liverpool sold Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich at the start of the season and they have struggled to replace the Senegalese international ever since. They are unlikely to make a similar mistake at the end of this season and let another one of their key attackers leave.
