Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal keen on Lautaro Martinez

Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are interested in signing Lautaro Martinez.

According to a report by Calcio Mercato, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have their eyes set on Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. The Argentine World Cup winner is amongst the best players in Serie A and there is a lot of interest in his services from across the globe.

The 25-year-old striker joined Inter Milan back in the summer of 2018. Since his arrival at the club, he has featured in 212 matches for the Milan-based club. He has found the back of the net on 89 occasions and has 31 assists to his name.

In the ongoing season, he has 15 goals and 7 assists in 31 matches. It has been another sensational season for the striker. His contract at Inter ends in the summer of 2026. But, the Serie A side have a financial crunch and might have to let go of their star forward to raise funds.

Simone Inzaghi will look to add a few players to his ranks in the summer to bolster his squad. But, he might be forced to let go of Martinez in order to raise the fund to spend on other players.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are keeping a close eye on Inter Milan’s striker. Erik ten Hag wants to add more firepower to his squad in the summer. Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in January left a big void in the attack. However, the arrival of Wout Weghorst on loan has sorted things out for a while. But, the Red Devils do need a long-term solution and they have identified Martinez as an option.

Arsenal will also enter the summer transfer market in search of a proper number nine. Mikel Arteta wants Martinez in the summer of 2023. They do have Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus in their ranks. But, Arteta still wants another striker who can give him more firepower as they look to build a team that can dominate Europe.

Graham Potter wants to sign a proper number nine at Chelsea. The Blues manager is keen on having an out-and-out forward leading the line. As a result, he wants the Argentina international at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea will see the return of Romelu Lukaku after his loan expires in the summer. But, he is likely to depart on a permanent basis after failing to impress on his return to the Premier league.

It will be interesting to see which club manages to secure the signing of Martinez. One thing is for sure he will bring a lot of goals to the Premier League if and when he arrives in England.
