Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing 25-year-old Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.

According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are looking to improve their attacking options with the signing of 25-year-old Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma at the end of the season.

Mitoma has been outstanding for Brighton this season. And he has seven goals and two assists across all competitions for the Premier League club. He has been linked with a move to London club Arsenal for over a month now.

The Japanese winger has shown his quality against top clubs like Liverpool this season. And he is certainly capable of playing for a club like Arsenal. The Gunners could certainly use more depth in the wide areas, and the Japanese international would be a superb acquisition. Mikel Arteta has been heavily reliant on Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka as his wingers. And the Arsenal manager needs more options at his disposal.

Mitoma will add quality and depth in the final third, and the Japanese winger could improve further with experience and coaching. He is entering his peak years, and Arsenal could have a future star on their hands.

The 25-year-old winger has a contract with Brighton until the summer of 2025. And the Seagulls will look to recoup as much as possible for the talented winger. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can agree on a fee with their fellow Premier League club now. Apparently, the Japanese international is valued at £35 million.

Mitoma will add pace, flair and goals in the final third if he joins Arsenal. The Japanese winger has proven himself to be one of the best dribblers in the Premier League. And he will add some much-needed unpredictability to the Gunners’ attack.

The opportunity to join a club like Arsenal will be an attractive proposition for the winger, and he will be tempted to move on in the summer. But it is unclear if the north Londoners are open to shelling out £35 million to sign the 25-year-old.

Arsenal are all set to qualify for the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season, and Mitoma will be excited to test himself in Europe next season. Furthermore, working with a manager like Arteta could help him develop further. The Gunners’ boss has worked wonders with the likes of Martinelli and Saka, who have improved considerably over the past year.
