Arsenal are reportedly eyeing up a summer move for the Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
The 25-year-old Italian international was linked with a move to Arsenal before he completed his transfer to Juventus and Calciomercato believe that the London club are prepared to return for him once again.
Locatelli was one of the hottest midfield prospects in Europe following the European Championships and Arsenal wanted to sign him back then. However, they missed out on the player to Juventus back then.
Locatelli’s move to Juventus has not worked out as planned and he is being linked with a move away from the Turing club.
The 25-year-old is still quite young and has a lot of time to fulfil his world-class potential. A move to Arsenal could give him the fresh start he needs right now.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can agree on a deal with the Italian outfit for the highly talented box-to-box midfielder.
Locatelli will add defensive cover drive and goals to the Arsenal midfield next season if Mikel Arteta manages to get the deal across the line.
Arsenal have been reliant on Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka as their preferred midfielders this season and Arteta will need to add more depth and quality to his side in order for them to compete on all fronts next season.
Locatelli has proven his quality with Italy during the European Championships and he was highly impressive in the Italian league before his move to Juventus as well.
There is no reason why he cannot succeed at the Premier League club and Arteta could help him fulfil his potential.
The opportunity to move to the Premier League can be an attractive proposition for most players and Locatelli will be tempted to join the Gunners if the Londoners come forward with a concrete proposal at the end of the season.
Arsenal certainly have the financial resources to tempt Juventus and they will be in a stronger position to sign the player if they manage to win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners are currently 5 points clear at the top of the table and they are well pleased to end their wait for a league title.
Locatelli could be the ideal partner for Thomas Partey next season and his arrival will allow Xhaka to operate with more freedom. The 25-year-old Italian has the quality to transform the Arsenal midfield next season.

No problem but is he really the kind of player we need though he’s a top quality player?Just the other day it was MOISES,RICE,ONANA amongst many others and we did n’t get any.I think it is about now we kedp encouraging our boys to complete our unfinished business( winning the premier league).Wile awaiting that moment of joy ,the issue of a top stricker should our next and not just talking about midfielders.
